Suraj Ceramic Industries follows top-notch modern practices in the production of porcelain insulators. The main stages in the design of porcelain insulators are:

  • RAW MATERIAL
    All the checks are carried out in laboratory. The main raw materials are FELDSPAR, BALL, CLAY, QUARTZ. We use the material after ensuring the raw materials quality.
  • MILLING
    Milling of raw materials to slurry form.The process after milling upto requred finess slurry is transferred to lower blunger for agitate.
  • FILTERING
    Filter press provide preeminent class on clay. Test of mor, shrinkage and moisture is carried out on clay.
  • EXTRUDING
    Vacuum extrusion, inside pug mill is provide plastic clay. Die Punching process carried-out musture transformed and then dryed clay.
  • SHAPING
    Moulds Shape is giving by pressing or turning technique. Drying to remove absorbed unneccesary moisture.
  • FIRING
    Glazing and Firing to convert the raw material mixture to tough and vitreous porcelain.
  • TRIMMING
    The shaped body after initial drying various shape is giving to them.
  • FINAL DRYING
    After copying all the green insulators are transferred for final drying. moisture is carried out about less than 2%.
  • TESTING
    Testing of shells under hydraulic pressure and high voltage.
  • ASSEMBLING
    Fired insulators are transferred to finishing for asemling. we are using rapid harding cement and assemble metal part on disc and thimbles to pin. after curing for 72 hours a routing test is carried out on each porcelain insulatores.
